Original people’s art
Original peoples art is a collection of artworks created by Nisga’a artist
Geo"the carver" McKay the owner/operator of original people’s art spent most of his life developing his career as a Nisga’a artist carving the Nisga’a style.
Over the years Geo McKay's artwork has been in various collections extending from museums, art galleries, and private collections, both local and abroad.
Geo's passion is totem poles, sculpturing, masks, bowls and all traditional paraphernalia and regalia.
Since graduating from the Freda Diesing school of fine arts, Geo has moved to a new level as an artist. He has started his own venue as an artist/entrepreneur. Thus original people’s art was born. He now is ready to bring his art work to you directly.
Geo hopes to ensure that the artwork of the first nation’s people continues to grow and become a way of life as it was in centuries past.
